In 1999, a retail jewelry company needed an e-Business solution that would enable them to create a unique, highly automated, fully integrated fulfillment system that could process online transactions from the Web through all the way through the accounting and customer service systems, to the vendors for shipping, to the customer, and back to the jewelry business. David Boos and his programming team devised an elaborate e-Commerce software program, which integrated all online sales transactions with jewelry company’s existing accounting, customer relationship, inventory management of their business software system, Sage Pro. With extensive additions to the client’s existing Sage Pro source code, the Cornerstone team was able to implement a comprehensive and streamlined solution that included real-time updating of every part of the system (including the Web site) from a single data entry point.
